we want students to lead it.

entrepreneurial students to craft and lead an expansion plan for a multimillion-dollar
Handybook, founded by two Harvard Business School students, is an online platform that
lets users instantly book a cleaner, handyman, or moving help. In less than 60 seconds
your booking will be confirmed and one of our pre-approved, background-checked
providers will show up on time and complete your job. It’s that simple.
The Handybook Intern Program is designed to provide smart, talented individuals an
opportunity to learn and grow in a hands-on setting. Handybook started in April of 2012
and has raised over $2 million of investment from Venture Capital firms including
Highland Capital Partners and General Catalyst.
About the position
Handybook wants to bring a few exceptional students on board to lead its expansion on
college campuses nationwide. As a Business Expansion Intern, you are responsible for
driving growth on your campus. You’ll work with our business development team in
New York to craft and execute a strategy for introducing Handybook to your campus.
The goal of the intern is to excite students about Handybook, increase sales, and manage
the Handybook operations and brand at your campus. We’ll teach you everything we’ve
learned about driving adoption of Handybook and work with you to identify smart
marketing opportunities like partnering with events and campus organizations.
Handybook Expansion Interns will work closely with our headquarters in New York in
planning and executing marketing strategy. They will get large exposure to the inner
workings of a successful startup.
The position is perfect for students who want to learn more about entrepreneurship,
marketing, and technology – and make money and have fun while doing it.
• Rising junior or senior in good standing with the university
• Charismatic and outgoing personality
• Proven track record of accomplishments and leadership – this can include setting
up a small business, leadership role in student groups, varsity sports teams,
• Possesses an entrepreneurial spirit
• Work 10-15 hours/week
• Oversee Handybook operations on your campus
• Hire brand evangelists to get the word out about Handybook on your campus
• Represent and maintain the integrity and brand of Handybook
• Establish and meet targets for Handybook bookings on campus
• Provide Handybook with input on products and share ideas with other
representatives around the country
• Participate in conference calls with the management team and other interns
from around the country
